If you are delicate move on.

Let's get this straight, I don't care what you think of me or what I'm doing. This blog is about crap that I like and crap that I'm doing. You don't have to look or read. Go somewhere else if things I say or do offend you. I like bikes, cars, naked women, and booze. Thats the content, you've been warned.

Dork with his camera phone.

That's the best you can do?

Moving will ruin your life, then it gets better. I've finally got the new garage into some working order. Now its time to fix the poor truck. About a week before we moved I figured I better look her over since I planned on using her to move. Well, things weren't great. I was introduced to tranny fluid and coolant, an amazing combo.

It seems the tranny cooler sprung a leak. What a freakin mess! So, of course a radiator for a 1966 F100 is around 400 bucks. I'm cheap so after some research I figured out a substitute that bolted right up and cost $120 new. Plus there is room now to mount an A/C condenser. The next part of Peggys saga is the actual move. We moved 40 miles away so there were a number of fully loaded high speed trips. The last trip with a huge load in the back I decided to stick my foot in it and pass some knucklehead that was crawling along. After a loud and successful pass I let off the gas and poof, giant cloud of smoke. Well, I pulled off and saw tranny fluid everywhere. Keeping in mind it was the last load and I was only 2 miles away I finished the trip. She made it into the drive then puked all over the place. So there she sat for the last 3 weeks. With no money to fix her but time on my hands without the commute I decided to finally paint the wheels.

I tried out the Dupli-Color premixed lacquer. I figure for $20 a can and not needing a large quantity this would be a good time to try it. I used my cheapo Harbor Freight gun. I shot white with Cloud Nine white flake. The paint was pretty easy to work with, decent coverage. I'm going to use it on other parts of the truck.

So ugly

No, I didn't take my time for prep.

Primer

White base color

Finished

I'll install them tomorrow and take some after pics. Flake is a bitch to capture on film. This is a quicky job so don't judge my crappy prep and mask. Next is a lime green pinstripe on the lip and bullet center caps.
